Reviewers: How to Approve a Policy/Document

As a reviewer, you will be notified that a new policy/document has been sent for your review.

Single Reviewer:

As a single reviewer, click on the link in your email notification to be taken to the policy record where you can choose to Approve or Reject the policy/document and add any notes. Rejection re-opens the policy and notifies the Authors to make additional edits based on your notes. Approval publishes the policy and changes the Status to Active.

Note the Approval History Section of the Policy/Document also tracks all Approval/Rejection history.

Multiple Reviewers:

If more than one reviewer has been added, the reviewers can each approve in their own time and can also see who has approved or rejected the policy. Approvers can approve in order or “at-will”. Rejection re-opens the policy and notifies the Authors to make additional edits based on your notes. Approval publishes the policy and changes the Status to Active.
