Asset > Internal Control Subtab

Modified on Tue, 11 Apr, 2023 at 7:17 PM

In this subtab, user will not allow to edit this list because it is automated. The list is automatically generated displaying unique Internal Control from 3 governance workflow.

  • Asset > Risk Register > Internal Control

  • Asset > Internal Control

  • Asset > Evidence > Internal Control

1. Asset > Risk Register > Internal Control

Asset may have Risk Register linked to it. When IC are mitigating the Risk Register, then that IC should be apply to the asset as well.

To change this, go to the Asset and then related risk register subtab. In the Risk Register record, go to the IC subtab to edit the risk register.

2. Asset > Internal Control

When an internal control is created, that record may have an asset linked to it manually. This tells user the control is intended for certain asset implementation. If this is linked, then in the Asset > IC subtab, you will see the IC.

If you're implementing C1Risk Compliance Module, we do not recommend this approach because it provides the lowest ARCI automation approach. User will need to update the Internal Control link to Asset manually. For the recommended approach, see #3 on this list.

3. Asset > Evidence > Internal Control

When creating an Evidence, it is best to define the Asset the Evidence is collected for. This will help you clarify the evidence scope as well as automatically linking all associated asset to the Internal Control and then also to the Asset record. This approach provides the highest ARCI automation.
